DCR Inc. was established by Joel Dahl. A native of the Fargo, North Dakota area, Mr. Dahl began his professional life on his family farm. At age 14, he was working his family's farm, while his father ran a construction company. Joel repaired and designing new equipment to improve his farm work. Obviously a hard worker, Mr. Dahl's dedication to self-sufficiency and innovation was apparent when he won the Industrial Arts Award in high school for mechanics and welding.

Expanding on his professional resume, Mr. Dahl entered the asphalt industry as an asphalt plant operations manager. He learned everything about the industry, from driving truck to being a service technician. After 3 years, Mr. Dahl decided to pursue an electronics education. He went through a 4 year program in Electrical and electronic engineering. After his 4 year program, Mr. Dahl put in almost 2 years as an industrial electronic technician, while also maintaining his position of running an asphalt plant.

Ever the avid learner and innovator, Mr. Dahl then started a computer repair and service business, where he incorporated PLC technology into asphalt plant controls. Mr. Dahl was one of the first in the industry to use PLC technology to completely control an asphalt plant. Joel Dahl developed a strong knowledge for troubleshooting and problem solving with his farming experiences. Mr. Dahl currently uses his knowledge and experience to create innovative solutions in the asphalt and glass recycling industry through DCR Incorporated.
